Commission Info

My boss is now on a month of medical leave... and I don't know how to do all the stuff she does. Nor do I have all the relevant phone numbers, email addresses, etc.

I have no idea how I'm going to fit all her work into my hours (don't know if they're approving overtime for me or not). Also, if I don't do it well enough, I'll get yelled at every day; if I do it too well, they may ask her not to return and stuff me into her chair.

x..x

EDIT: Okay, so I don't have to do all her job and mine, but I'm still going to be crammed with work. We'll see how this goes.

News and features - still lots of space!

Commission Info

A few things have been happening lately... two new commissions, which I'll be starting once I get the money in, a new job (yay! PT but *much* better than nothing), and Dragon*Con (was okay, next year better perhaps). Now please to be commenting so I can fill up the picture list. I'm beginning to think nobody loves me anymore. ;P

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From :iconelen89: whose last spot I managed to snag. Since I don't have a subscription anymore, I can't put thumbnails in here, so unfortunately links will have to do. I'm sorry. >..<

The rules:

1- Be one of the first 14 people commenting on this journal entry, and I will add you to the feature list.
2- For each of those people I will put their avatar and three deviations I like from their gallery on the list.
3- If I feature you, you'll have to do the same in your journal, putting me on the first place, completing the list with 15 people.

Commission Info

Having been asked for this, I finally spent some time figuring it up. I also used the commission I'm working on now for timelines to figure how long it takes me to do something (which obviously figures into the price). All prices are set for a full 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper; larger and smaller pieces would cost more or less (exact amounts varying according to the finished size).

Sketch/Design: A rough pencil drawing of the subject and may include some shading, but don't expect a background. I will send a high-resolution digital copy by email. $5, $10 for a cleaned up sketch with inked outlines

Examples: [link] and [link]

Full Graphite/Inked Lineart: A fully rendered pencil piece or inked lines and shading. I will send a high-resolution digital copy by email, and the original if the commissioner pays for shipping. $30 with background, $25 without

Examples: [link] and [link]

Full color: A fully rendered colored pencil piece, with inked lines on request. I will send a high-resolution digital copy by email, and the original if the commissioner pays for shipping. $40 with background, $30 without; colored paper available at no extra charge

Examples: [link] and [link]

Details: I of course reserve the right to refuse anything I find objectionable. I have no desire to do porn, but nudes and some measure of violence are acceptable. I can work from photographs if desired; I can also do creatures/people/characters/etc that you create as well as those of others with their permission. Copyrighted characters are off-limits, though; the fan art I do, I don't get money for. Visual references are great, but if all you have is a text description, that's fine too. I also reserve the right to put the image here on dA, in my portfolio, and to sell prints unless negotiated otherwise.

With everything except the sketch commission, I will email the commissioner a low-res copy of the design for approval before starting work on inking, shading, or coloring. This is not to slow down the process, but to save the other person potential aggravation if my design is not what s/he had in mind. After approval, I'll keep the commissioner updated as to my progress until I can get it done.

Payment will need to be in advance unless otherwise negotiated. I have Paypal, but a money order in the mail is also okay. If you send a check, I'll need to wait until it clears beforehand. Please no cash in the mail, but if you know me personally, cash in person is fine. If I decide to raise my prices, the price will only apply to future commissions; current ones will remain at the original quoted price. Also, I don't have a specific number of slots open, but if I start getting swamped I will put up a notice that I'm not taking more until my plate is clear.

I really should do more of it... I'm still doing good final work, but my quick sketches aren't as good as they used to be. More practice!

Assistance?

A friend of mine who does awesome crochet things has recently fallen on hard times. To help in the financial squeeze, she's offering a special sale on commissions:

If you've ever wanted a commission of mine, for any crocheted item at all -- and you can afford it right now -- now would be the time to get it. For the next week, all commissions for my friends (and friends of my friends) are marked down 20%. This means you'll pay $40 + $9 S&H instead of $50 + $9 S&H. Any item, any character, any challenge -- lay it on me!

I reserve the right to negotiate if someone desires a huge build, like a tachikoma or something similar.

Shoot me an email at voxmortuum @ gmail .com if you're interested. Thank you in advance, and please spread the word -- feel free to repost the above. I truly appreciate your support.
